On the quiet evening between the night of the raid and eviction of OWS on Tuesday and the planned Day of Action on Thursday, the vast majority of Liberty Square (Zuccotti Park) was cordoned off by police. The core group was holding a peaceful General Assembly at the usual time of 7-8pm in the northeast corner of the park, where the Library used to be. This video ended at 7:26pm according to the file information on my mobile recording device. Without warning, the NYPD interrupted the General Assembly, displaced the occupiers from this area, and escorted a two-man cleanup crew from Brookfield Properties to the area where the speakers had been. The cleanup crew then confiscated all the books from the new, rebuilt Library (not so much a structure as a collection), along with occupiers' food, drinks, medicine, and other sundry items, under direction from the NYPD.
